Freedom.
So here I sit in my living room, reflecting on the last year of my life. It has been kind of crazy. I made some bad decisions, that could have ruined my life, but God was gracious, and protected me despite my rebellion. Crazy, huh? That the Creator of the universe. The Creator of all humanity. Of the planet, the sea, the trees, the sky, the birds, and the animals would care so much about one persons plight and plan? But amazing that He does.
See that is probably one of my favorite things about God: knowing that He has SOOOO much going on, yet He still cares about us, His children (those who KNOW Him, love, and have been captured by Him), and takes care of us. Cast all your cares on the Lord, for He cares for you. No problem in life is too little or too big for Him to handle. So when you are struggling with something, GO TO HIM. Tell Him what is going on, He will listen, and comfort you. "Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace that transcends all understanding will fill your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.
It is amazing to me, that even in rebellion, if God has called you to be something, He will NOT leave you alone! He says that the work He started in us, He will bring to completion on the day of Christ Jesus' return. He also says that He has plans for each one of us, and that He works things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. Which means that bad things may happen, and we may make STUPID choices, and have to face the consequences, but God is still there, He is still sovereign, and He is always GOOD. Always. He is always with us. Always. And He will always love us. Always. There is a song by Tenth Avenue North called "The Struggle" the chorus says this: Hallelujah, we are free to struggle, we're not struggling to be free. Your blood bought, and makes us children, so children drop you chains and sing. This basically means, that God freed us from sin and death. He set us FREEEEEE! Free at last, free at last, I thank God I am FREE AT LAST. But there may be times that we still struggle with sin. Now, what y'all need to understand is that we don't have to do that. We have been SET FREE, and we don't have to pick up those chains of slavery to sin again. But when we choose to, He will forgive us if we come to Him and repent. If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive!
So, live your life for Him. Go on, do it. Also live your life free. Realize, beloved, that you are so free if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. Free to LIVE, really LIVE. Live to fullest, the way that God created you to live doing His will, living full of His love. Walking in His grace and mercy. Let Him fill you so full of love that it overflows in your service to other people.
God is so gracious. He is so just. He is so merciful. He is so righteous. He is so holy. He is so loving. Honestly, He is just amazing.
Gracious, gracious, God. Thank you for setting me free. Help me to live in freedom, and not go back to those chains you broke, when You saved me. I love you, Lord!

I understand this fully. I made actions that have messed up my relationship with the Lord and others. I see some much love for the Lord and I am grateful to have you in my life because you have such a love that I am continueing to seek. I wish I had been able to see this love for Jesus sooner in my life but am glad to read your words and know that my repentance for past behavior will carry me into Jesus's arms one day.
